Albert Einstein is the first man Who deeply researched about this, his theory of general relativity was unveiled the door to the myth of Time Travel. Einstein said Time was relative and depend on speed through space. He united three dimensions in space with the fourth dimension of time into new concept called Space Time.
Worm Hole
Einstein and Nathan Rosen thought the idea of wormholes in 1935. Wormholes can be the bridge through space-time connecting 2 distant point in a short cut. It not only connect 2 points in different positions in space, but also different in time. It's the key to open the door to travel back to the past or go to the future. But the problem is until now, We cannot to create a wormhole that big enough for human to pass through it.
The Grandfather Paradox
if you plan to kill your grandfather before even your father was born, basically you would not exist. So who killed your grandfather if you wasn't born.
Because of the problems, Time Travel is still impossible, at least now.
